The Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Symposium received a $30,000 Community Impact Grant from the Madison Community Foundation, according to WMTV15. The grants are awarded to organizations focused on learning, community development, and the arts.
The sculpture symposium will be held at San Damiano in Monona from June 14–22, bringing 12 world-renowned sculptors. The event is a tribute to the late Ho-Chunk sculptor Harry Whitehorse, who lived in Monona.
The symposium is free and open to the public.
