Harley-Davidson suspends manufacturing at two plants

Harley-Davidson Inc. is suspending production at two of its manufacturing plants in Wisconsin and in York, Pennsylvania, after an employee at its Menomonee Falls operation tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a report in the Milwaukee Business Journal.

In a related story, Harley-Davidson Inc. shareholder Impala Asset Management LLC filed a proxy statement that led to the firing of former CEO Matt Levatich after the hedge fund expressed its concerns over the management direction of the company. Jochen Zeitz was named the motorcycle company’s acting CEO and president.
