Harley-Davidson surpasses analysts’ profit expectations in Q4

Harley-Davidson Inc. announced on Thursday better-than-expected fourth-quarter profits, although its revenue fell short of projections, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer posted fourth-quarter earnings of $25.8 million, equivalent to 18 cents per share, with revenue totaling $1.05 billion.

According to Zacks Investment Research, the average estimate from six analysts anticipated earnings of 4 cents per share.

However, Harley-Davidson’s adjusted revenue stood at $807 million, missing the mark compared to Wall Street forecasts. Specifically, four analysts surveyed by Zacks had anticipated revenues of $930.2 million.

In the same period the previous year, the company recorded a profit of $41.9 million, or 28 cents per share, with revenue hitting $1.14 billion.

For the full year, Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $706.6 million, or $4.87 per share, alongside reported revenue of $4.88 billion.
