Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson Motor Co. is voluntarily recalling 31,000 Sportster motorcycles for headlight failures, according to a report by Autoblog.com. The safety recall involves the headlamp shields on certain model year 2019 through 2021 Sportster models. The Sportster bulb shield over the headlight assembly can cause the bulb itself to get hot in the wrong areas and potentially develop a hole and burn out the filaments inside, making the light useless. Harley-Davidson will fix the headlight housings at no charge.
