Matthew Levatich, Harley-Davidson’s president and CEO, will be leaving his role and will no longer be a member of the board of directors, according to a story from Wisconsin Public Radio. The company also announced that Jochen Zeitz, a current board member and former CEO of Puma, the global sporting goods company, will serve as Harley’s acting president and CEO.
The change comes amid Harley’s struggles to attract younger riders to replace those who have aged and stopped riding. Sales have declined for 12 consecutive quarters.
