The American Heart Association is teaming up with Dane County construction companies to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke in the construction and engineering industries, according to a recent press release.
The Hard Hats with Heart campaign is a year-round opportunity that brings together general contractors, subcontractors, health care, and business executives to shine a light on the prevalence of heart disease in the construction industry and showcase how creating a culture of wellness within companies can make a difference.
This year’s annual networking event will take place on Oct. 19 from 5–8 p.m. at Wisconsin Aviation. ESPN Madison’s Jim Rutledge will return to emcee the event. Attendees can expect to hear from industry leaders and speakers from the American Heart Association as well as learn about company wellness initiatives.
