Hancock Center for Creative Arts hosting event promoting arts for well-being

As part of its 40-year anniversary celebration, nonprofit Hancock Center for Creative Arts will host a free event that offers space for community artists and community members to explore and celebrate the role of creative arts in promoting health and cultivating well-being. The event will take place Saturday, July 20, from 1–2:30 p.m. at Madison’s WYSO Center for Music, 1118 E. Washington Ave.

An event panel will include music therapist T.J. Holsen, UW–Madison associate professor of design studies Marianne Fairbanks, DAMA Murals executive director Veronica Figueroa Velez, nonprofit administrator Sean Frenzel, and UW Health art project manager Mandy Kron. Terry McGuire, creator, host, and producer of the Giving Voice to Depression podcast, will moderate.

Event registration is not required.
