The family behind the popular Sun Prairie restaurant Gus’s Diner plans to open a second location in Verona as soon as January, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Owner Gus Selimi and his son, Tim, plan to open the new 2,800-square-foot restaurant at 110 Keenan Court, along East Verona Avenue.
Las week the Verona Plan Commission recommended approval of the project, forwarding the proposal to the City Council for consideration later this month.
Tim Selimi, who is currently in business school, would run the Verona location, and if its successful Gus Selimi is considering opening a third location in Waunakee in a few years.
