Get ready to leave with a big can the next time you visit the Great Dane Pub and Brewing Company in downtown Madison. The brewpub debuted the city’s first crowler machine this morning, according to the Cap Times.
Crowlers, a combination of “can” and “growler,” are 32-ounce aluminum cans that can be filled with craft beer and sealed on the spot, similar to 64-ounce glass growlers but more convenient. The Great Dane’s crowler machine will begin operating this Friday, the brewery said.
The Great Dane eventually plans to feature crowler machines at each of its locations.
The one-time-use recyclable crowlers will cost $7.50.
