David Sindberg, owner of Grant Communications in Madison, was forced to close the business after learning that his previous bookkeeper — now deceased — stole between $250,000 and $400,000 over several years.

According to various media stories, Sindberg was suddenly saddled with a mountain of debt and his wife’s wages and their personal bank accounts have been garnished.

A GoFundMe page was set up to try to help the family. As of this date, 132 donors have raised just over $10,600 toward a $300,000 goal to repay the debt.

Sindberg’s story, in his words, can be found at www.gofundme.com/288j373w.
