Described as a farmers’ market and grocery store in one, Grandad’s Farm Stop announced Sunday that it will open at 3802 Mineral Point Road in August.
“Grandad’s Farm Stop was created with a simple idea: local food should be easy to find, easy to buy and directly support the people who produce it,” Grandad founder and general manager Patrick D. Randolph said on social media.
The aim is to make the farm stop a community gathering place centered around local food. It will also feature a locally sourced cafe.
The year-round market uses a consignment model where farmers and producers can bring goods to Grandad’s Farm Stop, set their own prices and earn 70% of every dollar sold.
