Grand marshal announced for 24th annual Madison St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The 24th annual Madison St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place Sunday, March 17 on the Capitol Square at 1:30 p.m. Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist Brady Mallory, a nightly TV anchor and reporter on Channel 3 and FOX47, will serve as its grand marshal.

The event will feature live music, floats, and other family-friendly activities. At noon, the Dane County Shamrock Club will raise an Irish flag in the Capitol Rotunda, followed by a raffle drawing at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Mifflin Street at 1:20 p.m.

Similar to past years, the event will traverse counterclockwise around the Capitol Square, exiting at East Washington Avenue.

The event is free to attend; proceeds benefit the UW Carbone Cancer Center, Gigi’s Playhouse–Madison, and Logan’s Heart and Smiles. Additional information is available here.
