State executive agencies have been ordered by Gov. Tony Evers to implement a 5 percent reduction in spending by June 30, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.

The Evers administration has described the cuts as a first step to address anticipated shortfalls in state revenue due to the COVID-19 crisis, shutdown, and economic recession.
