The Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation announced it has awarded over $179,000 to 39 Midwestern charities, including $25,000 to Madison-area 501(c)(3) organizations.

Created in 2002, the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation has donated more than $2.5 million to various philanthropic organizations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, and South Dakota. Each year, the foundation remains committed to supporting the communities within Gordon Flesch Company’s (GFC’s) territories, honoring the memory of founder Gordon Flesch’s mission to give back to the areas where GFC’s employees and customers live and work.

In addition to its annual donations, the Foundation also engages in targeted giving for emergency disaster relief. This year funds were allocated to Iowa nonprofits for flood relief in affected communities after record-high river levels.
