GOGO Charters, a charter bus service that operates nationwide, is expanding its intercity bus service to the Midwest, launching daily routes connecting Chicago to Milwaukee, Madison, and Indianapolis starting in summer 2025. The move follows a successful rollout in Texas.
The expansion comes as intercity bus travel recovers from pandemic-era disruptions, with studies indicating gaps in service despite increasing passenger demand. While Chicago serves as a key transit hub, cities like Milwaukee, Madison, and Indianapolis have limited high-quality travel options, prompting GOGO Charters to enter the market, according to president Mark Thronson.
The company’s new routes will include stops in both major cities and smaller communities. The northbound route will link Chicago, Waukegan, Illinois, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Oconomowoc, Sun Prairie, and Madison, while the southbound route will connect Chicago to Gary, Merrillville, Lafayette, and Indianapolis in Indiana.
GOGO Charters aims to offer an alternative to driving, flying, or using traditional bus services. The expansion is part of a broader effort to improve regional connectivity and provide travelers with more reliable and comfortable transportation options.
