GoDx of Madison is developing paper-based tests for detecting COVID-19 that do not require a lab, and results could be available at the point of care in 30 minutes, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
GoDx develops similar tests for pathogens that cause gastrointestinal diseases such as salmonella and norovirus. The National Institute of Health’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences awarded GoDx $200,000 to help the company develop the COVID-19 paper test.
