Global stocks rebound on renewed hopes of U.S. stimulus

After a poor start to the week, global stocks rebounded early Tuesday, and U.S. futures advanced on the news that American political leaders are closer to a deal on a massive stimulus package to mitigate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, according to the Associated Press.

Congressional officials are working on a $2 trillion rescue package that could be completed as early as Tuesday.
