Madison developer Curt Brink, who has designs on building an 11-story, mixed-use tower to the 900 block of East Washington Avenue, has hired a consultant to study how sunlight glare from the glass exterior might affect the surrounding neighborhood, including Breese Stevens Field and commuters on East Washington Avenue.

Brink said in a Wisconsin State Journalstory that he expects the consultant report to be completed before the Urban Design Commission’s next meeting on April 22.

While shadow studies have been ordered by the city before, this is the first glare analysis and could help with future development.
