Gilda’s Club Madison offering free tech workshop

Gilda’s Club Madison, a cancer support organization, announced in a recent press release a workshop designed to empower adults living with cancer and other illnesses through technology. The free event will provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital world along with tools and resources.

The workshop will be held at Gilda’s Club Madison, 7907 UW Health Court, Middleton, on Tuesday, July 30, from noon–2 p.m. Register by calling Gilda’s Club at (608)  828-8880. A light lunch will be provided.

The event will include:

  • Health literacy enhancement;

  • Digital skills training; and

  • Community support.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, tablets, or smartphones. For those without a device, computers will be available.

This initiative is funded by a grant from the Patient Empowerment Network.
