Waukesha-based Generac Power Systems on Thursday opened its new Beaver Dam factory, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The 345,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility is set to provide commercial generators and a range of other power products.
The company broke ground on the facility at 110 Tower Drive in November 2023. It is Generac’s largest U.S. factory and will build generators from 10-kilowatts up to 1 megawatt.
The facility has four main assembly lines, with space for a fifth, and can support 250 employees per shift. It currently has 130 workers, and Generac plans to expand the staff to 320 members by the end of 2025.Â
The new space will also include a Generac Power Systems Education Center dedicated to work-based learning for area high schoolers.
