Generac Power Systems, a Waukesha-based manufacturer of standby generators, says it will respond to increased demand by adding roughly 450 new manufacturing and engineering jobs in four Wisconsin communities.
About 400 of the jobs will be added at facilities in of Waukesha, Whitewater, and Eagle in southeastern Wisconsin, and at least 50 will be created at Magnum Products in Berlin, Wisconsin in Green Lake County.
Many of the new jobs must be filled in the next 90 days, so the company will be holding an Engineering Job Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at its Waukesha headquarters, located at S45 W29290 Hwy. 59. At the job fair, prospective employees will have a chance to talk with engineers and hiring managers about the new employment opportunities.
New positions will range from entry level to management posts, and include engineers, designers, and technicians. Those who attend should bring an updated resume.
Additional information about the job fair is available at the Generac website.
The company makes back-up generators for homes and businesses.
