Goodman Community Center is asking for donations to reach its goal of providing Thanksgiving meals for 4,000 families, according to a statement from the organization. The organization is asking for food donations of frozen turkeys, canned vegetables, canned fruit, broth, stuffing, gravy, macaroni and cheese, cranberries, and roaster pans. Dinner rolls, milk, butter, eggs, onions, potatoes, carrots, and pumpkin pie are already secured and will be added to the donation baskets for families. For the past 33 years, GCC’s Thanksgiving Basket Drive has provided Thanksgiving meals for Dane County families. This year, the center hopes to reach 25,000 residents, including 10,000 children.
