CNBC reported that gas prices are the highest they’ve been since mid–2024 thanks to the U.S.’s war with Iran.
The average price per gallon of unleaded gas in the U.S. rose to about $3.54 per gallon on Tuesday, according to AAA. It’s a 21% increase from February.
Gas prices have risen since the war began, with oil and gas facilities targeted by both sides. Plus, the Strait of Hormuz passageway, a shipping route for natural resources, has been disrupted.
