Madison area food trucks will be parking at Garver Feed Mill from May 22 through Oct. 2.
The Food Truck Friday event will host over 30 food trucks, including Curd Girl, Runnin’ on Empty and the new Paul’s Pel’meni food truck.
Garver is also teaming up with Olbrich Botanical Gardens to bring Food Truck Friday to the gardens’ annual Summer Breeze event on June 12 and June 13 for the first-ever Summer Breeze Block Party.
“Garver Food Truck Fridays, and any event that brings together a collection of food choices and community, are essential for food truck businesses in giving them prime vending opportunities, a chance for the community to get to know them, and fits into some of the important reasons they got into the business in the first place: building community around food and sharing their culture,” Chris Brockel, director of food systems for the Madison Northside Planning Council, said in a statement. The Northside Planning Council manages FEED Kitchens, a facility that offers commercial kitchen space for local food businesses.
More than 70% of FEED-affiliated food trucks are women- or minority-owned businesses.
