Garding Against Cancer to receive $60,000 grant

Northwestern Mutual – Southern Wisconsin has donated $60,000 to Garding Against Cancer, a nonprofit founded by UW–Madison Men’s basketball coach Greg Gard and his wife Michelle, according to a release from the company. The Most Exceptional Childhood Cancer Impact Award Recipient recognizes Garding Against Cancer’s work on accelerating the search for better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Northwestern Mutual – Southern Wisconsin will present a check to Garding Against Cancer at Forward Madison FC’s Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation game on Sept. 25 at Breese Stevens Field.
