Funding approved for affordable housing projects

The Madison City Council, on track to create 1,000 affordable housing units over five years as part of its Affordable Housing Plan, approved an investment of $4.4 million to move forward on four developments around town.

The approved projects will be Stone House Development at 134 S. Fair Oaks Ave.; Madison GrandFamily Housing, from Gorman & Co., part of the Union Corners development; Normandy Square from MSP Real Estate, at 6509 Normandy Lane; and CommonBond Communities at 7941 Tree Lane.
