A $2 billion Energizer bid for Rayovac batteries could have hit a snag had the Federal Trade Commission raised antitrust concerns.
But it didn’t, boosting stock prices for parent companies Spectrum Brands Holdings, based in Middleton, and Energizer Holdings.
Finalization of the deal is anticipated later this year, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
