Frugal Muse to close east side store

Frugal Muse announced it will close its east side Madison store when its lease with the Northgate Shopping Center expires in November. Frugal Muse co-owner Andrew Gaylor told the Wisconsin State Journal that a drop in foot traffic and competition from online retailers contributed to the decision to close the location. The company will continue to operate a store at Prairie Towne Center in Madison, but it plans to sell its Darien, Ill., store to its current manager.
