The Clean Lakes Alliance will officially launch the Renew the Blue Council with the Frozen Assets Happy Hour Summit on Wednesday from 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Edgewater, located at 1001 Wisconsin Place.
The Frozen Assets Happy Hour Summit marks the first official gathering of the Renew the Blue Council — a new regional leadership body representing over 40 municipalities and nonprofits across the Teejop (Four Lakes) region.
Each participating organization has designated delegates to work collaboratively toward creating and maintaining healthy lakes, lands and waters.
“Our lakes connect every community in this watershed,” Clean Lakes Alliance Founder James Tye said in a statement. “The Renew the Blue Council is about moving beyond planning and into coordinated, measurable action — together.”
The council’s primary purpose is to implement “Renew the Blue: A Community Guide for Cleaner Lakes and Beaches in the Yahara Watershed,” which outlines 12 actions to improve water quality and strengthen land health at local and regional levels.
