French-style bakery planned for north side

Far Breton Bakery, currently a food-truck operation, plans to open at the former Jacobson’ Bros. Meats & Deli at 617 N. Sherman Ave., according to a Capital Timesreport. The business has been operating at Garver Feed Mill and the Northside Farmers’ Market. The new, 2,400-square-foot location in the Lakewood Plaza Shopping Center will allow the bakery to potentially quadruple its capacity. The business currently rents space at FEED Kitchens and produces primarily breakfast pastries including classic butter croissants, seasonal galettes made with fruit and ginger, spiced sugar buns, and chocolate chip muffins.
