The city of Madison’s Community Development Division is hosting a path to homeownership education workshop in partnership with the Home Buyers Roundtable of Dane County and the Consumer Credit Counseling Service on Oct. 11 at The Atrium at the Village on Park Street.
The free workshop will help prospective first-time homebuyers navigate the home purchasing process, covering topics like determining affordability, completing mortgage applications, improving credit for better home loans and exploring down payment assistance programs.
The course is HUD-certified and meets the application requirements for several down payment assistance and closing cost assistance programs.
