Manufacturer Foxconn is planning to spend $569 million to expand its operations in Racine County over the next four years, Wisconsin Public Radio reports.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. announced the plans on Tuesday and said Foxconn will create more than 1,300 new jobs in the factory and office with the expansion.

The reason cited for the expansion is a rise in demand for data infrastructure, and the company makes artificial intelligence servers.

WEDC also said Foxconn will create over 2,600 jobs and $1.2 billion in capital investment by the end of 2029.
