Gilbane and the global firm M+W Group have been selected as lead contractors on the 20 million-square-foot, $10 billion Foxconn plant scheduled to be built in Mount Pleasant.
A 1.5 million-square-foot television assembly building will be the first structure built, according to a story in the Milwaukee Business Journal. Hiring has reportedly begun, as the project will keep about 10,230 construction workers employed for four years.
If the name Gilbane sounds familiar, the company is also a development partner on Madison’s Hill Farms state office buildings and mixed-use project underway on Madison’s west side.
