Four groups will vie for the chance to redevelop the Hill Farms State Office Building, a massive 600,000-square-foot project that will become the largest state-owned office building in Wisconsin.
The four development groups are:
- T. Wall Enterprises LLC (Middleton), Potter Lawson Architects, and Miron Construction Co.
- McCaffery Interests (Chicago), Antunovich Associates, Plunkett Raysich Architects, Vandewalle & Associates, Ken Saiki Design, CG Schmidt, and W.E. O’Neil Construction
- Mortenson (Minneapolis), Wangard, and Epstein Uhen Architects
- C.D. Smith (Fond du Lac), Gilbane, HGA, and SmithGroup JJR
The project, which could cost taxpayers up to $196 million, eventually will bring several state departments under one roof. The Department of Transportation is currently located on the site, but it would be joined by the Department of Employee Trust Funds, the Public Service Commission, the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, the Department of Financial Institutions, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.
