Dr. Rev. Alex Gee has been named one of 15 UW–Madison graduates honored with awards from the Wisconsin Alumni Association, according to Madison365. Gee, whose family collectively holds 13 degrees from UW–Madison, is among seven winners of the Luminary Award.
The award honors alumni accomplished in leadership, discovery, progress, and service or philanthropy.
Gee is the founder and CEO of The Center for Black Excellence and Culture, the longtime pastor of Fountain of Life Church, and president and founder of the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development.
Other Luminary Award winners include Zachary Ellis Jr., Jessi Kendall, Jay Laabs, Nicolaas Mink, Patricia Marroquin Norby, and Dana M. Peterson.
