The Madison Parks Foundation announced the W. Jerome Frautschi Foundation and the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation have named gifts for Warner and Rennebohm parks in Madison for fully accessible and inclusive playgrounds for children with disabilities. The W. Jerome Frautschi Foundation committed $100,000 to name a fully accessible playground at Warner Park for the Frautschi Family and the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation gave a $100,000 gift to name a playground at Rennebohm Park to recognize disability rights advocate Jeff Erlanger. Construction of both playgrounds is scheduled for early 2022. The city of Madison Parks Division has committed $1.7 million to complete five fully accessible playgrounds and the Madison Parks Foundation has committed to raising funds for the construction. The installation of a fully accessible playground is approximately four times the cost of a standard playground.
