Christopher Berge, who previously owned the Weary Traveler Freehouse and co-founded the former Blue Marlin, the old Restaurant Magnus, Barriques, Nattspil and the former Cortadito Express in the old Cardinal Bar, announced plans to invest in Blue Mounds, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Berge’s only current business is ObertAlvin Coffee House, opened a year ago in Blue Mounds in a former opera house and open Thursdays-Sundays from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
His latest plans include teaming up with a kinesiologist, an educator and a meditator who owns some neighboring properties in Blue Mounds to build “an interesting little sort of permaculture community of nice houses, a shared sauna and Pilates studio.”
Permaculture uses a set of design principles that imitates thriving natural ecosystems. Berge said the goal is to build five houses.
