The former general manager of the Market Street Diner in Sun Prairie pleaded no contest to stealing about $181,000 in cash and goods from the restaurant, which is part of the Food Fight chain.
In a Wisconsin State Journalupdate to a story that broke in May, Debra L. Riphahn-Vera used a company credit card to make purchases for the restaurant between 2012 and 2015 that were instead sent to her home and/or used at her other business, Wisconsin Candle Co.
A restitution amount is still being worked out, and sentencing is set for March 9.
