Former Sun Badger Solar president, COO face criminal charges

It’s not always sunny in the solar energy world.   

Wisconsin Public Radio reported that former Sun Badger Solar President Trevor Sumber and former COO Kristopher Sipe are facing criminal theft by contractor charges.  

The charges are linked to work that was paid for but not completed.  

The company is now defunct.

Charges were filed in March in Dane County Circuit Court, and according to those charges, the duo took thousands of dollars of customer deposits without completing projects. It is alleged that the funds were used for personal use
