Former Spectrum employee sentenced for embezzlement

Shonn Northam of Briggsville, a former employee with Spectrum Brands, was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison for embezzling from his former employer between 2013 and 2014.

According to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal, Northan was ordered to repay Spectrum Brands $281,000, about a third of which was used to fund US Proud beauty pageants and pay participants.

He was charged in January of mail fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
