A federal appellate judge has upheld Wisconsin’s six-day absentee ballot extension, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport. The decision means ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 3 will be counted as long as they are received by Nov. 9.

The decision will likely mean the outcomes of the presidential election and other down-ballot races will not be known on Election Day. Republicans are expected to appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
