Fluoride returns to DeForest

DeForest will add Fluoride back into its water.  

According to Wisconsin Public Radio, the city’s board of trustees voted 4-2 to place the mineral back into the water supply.  

Fluoride is a mineral that is recommended by public health officials to be in water supplies to help strengthen teeth 

It will cost roughly $327,000 for DeForest to add fluoride back to its water system,and it could be months before water containing fluoride makes its way out of taps.

However, misinformation on fluoride has spread and caused some to believe false information about the mineral.
