Flights are being delayed across the country as the federal government shutdown continues.
According to an Associated Press report, air traffic controllers are bracing for their first fully unpaid pay period.
Some airports are reporting halted flights. Air traffic controllers have had to work mandatory overtime six days a week during the shutdown without any pay, according to the National Air Traffic Controllers Association.
Before the federal government shutdown, the FAA reported a shortage of about 3,000 air traffic controllers.
