Construction on a $25 million, 218,600-square-foot Mills Fleet Farm store has begun in DeForest.
Dane County’s first Fleet Farm-branded store broke ground at the intersection of Highway 19 and Interstate 39-90-94 on 25 acres that DeForest had earlier annexed from the town of Windsor. Another 81 annexed acres will be reserved for future development.
Fleet Farm is expected to open in October and add up to 200 full- and part-time jobs, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Mills Fleet Farm, owned by New York-based investment firm, KKR, has no relation to Janesville-based Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores.
