Kayser Automotive Group has proposed a five-story, 44-unit apartment building at the corner of West Washington Avenue and Bedford Street in downtown Madison.

The building would replace the former Heartland Credit Union building with a mix of market-rate studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, according to a Capital Timesstory.

Kids Forward, a nonprofit, had a multiyear lease on the second floor of the credit union building, and is working with Kayser to find a new space.
