Fitchburg’s St. Charles Station, a high-end Creole/Cajun restaurant open since July, announced it will become a supper club with New Orleans flair, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. The owner of the restaurant at 2951 Triverton Pike Drive said most area customers were not interested in the fine dining and its cost.
The restaurant is closed this week to allow for preparations and staff retraining. Following some soft openings, the restaurant is set to reopen to the public on March 6.
The space’s new menu will have expanded options to include those similar to supper club offerings at accessible prices. The restaurant has a new chef, Ryan Mueller, who worked at the owner’s Liliana’s restaurant previously and has run his own Stubborn Mule Catering.
