Officials in Fitchburg are considering renaming its city hall after Frances Huntley-Cooper, the first Black mayor in state history, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The name change was requested by Michael Johnson, the president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, and some Fitchburg City Council members have expressed support of the proposal.
