Fiskars Group has expanded fully paid parental leave for its more than 600 employees in the United States, including its Middleton-based headquarters. Under the new policy, which is retroactively effective as of Jan. 1, 2022, all full-time employees, regardless of role and immediately upon employment, are now eligible for:

  • 14 weeks of leave at 100% salary/hourly wages for the birthing parent;
  • Six weeks of leave at 100% salary/hourly wages for the non-birthing parent;
  • Six weeks of leave at 100% salary/hourly wages for the adoptive parents; and
  • Two weeks of leave at 100% salary/hourly wages for placement of a foster child.

The company stated that all full-time employees in the U.S. are eligible for these new leave benefits, including primary locations in Middleton; Portland, Oregon; Wall, New Jersey; Southaven, Mississippi; and remote employees across the country. This benefit expansion applies equally to parents of any gender identity and is inclusive of LGBTQ+ couples.
