Fisher House Wisconsin will soon launch its capital campaign to build the next Fisher House in Madison.
Fisher House is the equivalent to Ronald McDonald House but services families of veterans who will be getting treatment at the VA hospital in Madison. The project received approval almost six years ago in Washington, D.C.
The Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce will team up with Fisher House Wisconsin and Steven Rose, the organization’s executive director, to host a capital campaign ice breaker event in early September in Madison.
Fisher House Wisconsin will be in charge of funding the facility’s construction. The organization will then gift it back to the VA but continue to run the daily activities on-site.
