First Business Financial Services, Inc., parent of First Business Bank, posted higher profits in the fourth quarter. The company showed a net income of $2.5 million (86 cents/share) for the period ending Dec. 31. A year earlier, the company had a net income of $2.4 million (90 cents/share), which included a one-time-only tax benefit.
For all of 2012, the company recorded net income of $8.9 million ($3.29/share) compared to $8.4 million ($3.23/share) for all of 2011.
